Okay, so, I got this thing, a watch. Not just any watch, mind you. It’s a high imitation Rolex. Yeah, I know, I know, it’s not a real one. But I really like Rolex Submariner, especially the No-Date Black one. It’s classic. So I decided to get a high imitation one to try.
First, I searched a lot online. I looked at pictures, read some stuff. You know, just to see what’s out there. There are a ton of these things, different types. Some with the date window, some without. I wanted the classic look, so I went for the no-date one. This is what James Bond wears. It makes me feel cool.
Then, I started to compare them. I noticed some of them looked pretty good, others… not so much. I remembered reading somewhere that the real Rolex has super clear writing on it. And the date, if it has one, is really sharp. Plus, that shiny ring around the face, the bezel, it’s supposed to be really nice on a real Rolex Submariner. So, I tried to find one that looked like that. I compared a lot, really looked closely at the details. Some of these fakes, man, they are rough.
- I spent a whole afternoon just looking at the little crown logo.
- Checked the writing on the dial, over and over.
- Even used a magnifying glass!
Finally, I found one I liked. It looked pretty darn close to the real deal, at least to me. The writing was pretty neat, and that bezel, it had a nice shine to it. Not too shabby. It’s still a high imitation one, but it looks like a real one. I’m quite happy about it. I ordered it, waited a few days, and bam, it arrived.
Now, I’m wearing it. Feels good on the wrist. It is svelte. I showed it to a couple of buddies. They thought it was cool. Of course, they know it is a high imitation one, but they still liked the look of it. One of them even asked where I got it. He’s thinking about getting one too, but maybe with the date. He likes that little window. Different strokes, I guess.
My Suggestion
I took a bunch of pictures of it, up close and everything. It’s all about the details, you know. You gotta see the little things to really appreciate it. If you are going to get a high imitation Rolex, do your research. It is better to choose a Submariner model without a date display. I’m no expert, but it’s a pretty sweet-looking watch. Even if it’s not a real Rolex. These high imitation things are not only Rolex. There are Omega, Patek Philippe, or others. But I just like Rolex. Maybe it’s just me. Anyway, that’s my little adventure with this high imitation Rolex thing.
