This here, Patek Philippe Calatrava, 5227R-001, it’s a real something. I seen it at the official store, the one with all the fancy stuff, you know. This watch, it’s for them rich folks, but I gotta say, it’s a looker.
They got it in this shiny gold color, makes it look real expensive. And the shape, it’s round, like a good old pie. Ain’t nothing fancy about the shape, but it’s just right. It ain’t too big, neither. Fits nice, like a good glove.
The Shiny Part
This gold, it’s all polished up. Shines like a new penny. They call it “rose gold”. I don’t know about roses, but it sure is pretty. It’s the kind of thing you’d wear to a big party, or maybe if you was meeting the Queen, if the Queen likes this kind of stuff. I think she would like this golden Patek Philippe Watch, you know.

The Face of It
Now, the face of this watch, it ain’t white. It’s more like the color of them eggs my hens used to lay, before the fox got ’em. A little bit yellow, but not too much. They say it’s “ivory.” I seen ivory once, on a picture of an elephant. This ain’t that white, but it’s a nice color. It is a real round faced watches, very classic.
And the numbers, they’re clear as day. Even my old eyes can see ’em. No squinting needed. And the hands, they move smooth, like a hot knife through butter. You can tell it’s made good. It’s the Patek Philippe calibre 324 S C, they told me. Sounds important.
The Back of It
Now this is the part that’s real fancy. The back of this watch, it opens up. Like a little door. And inside, you can see all the little bits and pieces moving around. It’s like a tiny little city in there, all working together. And they say it’s got jewels in it. Real ones! It’s got 29 Jewels. I don’t know much about jewels, but it sounds like a lot. This back, it’s like a secret, you know. Only the person wearing it gets to see it.

The Size of It
It ain’t too big, this watch. They said it’s 39mm. I don’t know about millimeters, but it’s just the right size. Not too heavy, neither. You could wear it all day and not even know it’s there. And the thickness, it has 8.08mm thick. It’s like a stack of them pancakes I make, but a little thinner. This is what I like, not too thick.

The Strap
The strap, it’s made of leather. Good leather, too. Not that fake stuff. It’s soft, like a baby’s bottom. And it’s got a little buckle, made of that same shiny gold. It’s the kind of strap that’ll last a long time. They have to keep it in the official flagship store, for safe you know. It’s real important.

This Patek Philippe PP Calatrava 5227R-001, it’s a real piece of work. It’s the kind of thing you’d pass down to your kids, and they’d pass it down to theirs. It’s that good. It was released in 2013, they say. A long time ago. They said it is like Ref. 96. Sounded important. If you got the money, and you want something real special, this is it. It ain’t cheap, that’s for sure. But some things are worth it. And this watch, it’s worth it. It is really a collectible watches. It’s more than just a watch, it’s a little piece of history. A little piece of art. Something you can treasure. And that’s saying something, coming from me. I don’t get impressed easy, but this watch, it impressed me.
