Okay, so, today, I want to tell you about this thing I did with a bag. Not just any bag, it’s a Fendi bag. A “Fendi Brown Zucchino Mama Forever Baguette Shoulder Bag.” That’s a mouthful, right? But you know what, this long name, it’s like, it’s got a meaning. Means it’s kind of a big deal.
I was looking around, trying to find a way to copy this bag. These bags, they’re not cheap. But I saw them, and I thought, “I gotta figure this out.”
So I started my little project. I got my hands on some brown canvas. It’s not the real Fendi canvas, but it’s close. I needed that Zucca FF logo thing, so I printed it out. It’s not perfect, but, hey, it’s a start.
I found this silver-tone hardware stuff, it’s supposed to look like the real deal. It’s not exactly the same, but you know, it’s shiny, it’s got that kind of look. The shoulder strap, I made it adjustable. I figured, why not, you know? Gotta have options.
I got some brown leather, cut it up, and used it for the trim. It’s a bit rough, not like the fancy Fendi leather, but it’s there. It does the job, you know. I even put some embellishments on it, just to make it a little more… you know, special.
Inside, I used some satin for the lining. Not the jacquard stuff they use, but it feels nice, you know? Soft. And I put a little logo in there, just for kicks. Not the real Fendi logo, of course.
The whole process?
- First, I got all my materials together. The canvas, the printed logo, the hardware, the leather, the satin. It was a bit of a hunt, but I found everything.
- Then, I started cutting and sewing. I’m not a professional or anything, but I managed to put it all together. It’s not perfect, but it looks like a bag.
- Next, I added the hardware, the strap, the embellishments. That was a bit tricky, but I figured it out.
- Finally, I sewed in the lining and the little logo. And that was it. My very own “Fendi Brown Zucchino Mama Forever Baguette Shoulder Bag” copy.
It’s not the real thing, I know. But it’s mine, and I made it. And you know what? I’m pretty proud of it. It’s not gonna fool anyone who knows Fendi, but it’s a fun little project. And it looks pretty good, if I do say so myself. I think my version is in EXCELLENT condition – no stains or tears, for sure! Hahaha!
