Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this little project I just finished. I’ve been wanting to remake one of those fancy Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAGs for a while now. You know, the ones that look super classy and cost a fortune? Well, I finally did it!

First off, I started by really looking at a bunch of pictures of the original bag. I mean, I really stared at them, trying to get every little detail in my head. I noticed how the leather looked, the way the stitching was done, all that stuff. I even checked out the inside – they usually have the style and art numbers on a label, either at the base of the flap or tucked behind a pocket wall, and “MADE IN ITALY” written in all caps.

Then, I had to find the right materials. This was a bit tricky, ’cause I wanted it to look as close to the real deal as possible. I spent days searching for the perfect leather. I needed something smooth and soft, but also strong enough to hold its shape, just like the original.

Once I had all my stuff, I started cutting out the leather. I made a pattern based on the pictures I’d been studying. Let me tell you, cutting leather is not as easy as it looks! You gotta be super careful to make sure all the pieces are the right size and shape.

  • Next up was the sewing. This part took forever! I used a special kind of thread that’s really strong, ’cause I wanted this bag to last.
  • I sewed all the pieces together, slowly and carefully, making sure every stitch was perfect.
  • I even added the little YSL logo, which I made out of some metal I found. It was a real pain to attach, but I think it turned out pretty good.

Putting It All Together

Finally, after what felt like a million hours, I had all the pieces sewn together. I attached the strap and the clasp, and voila! My very own YSL JUNE BOX BAG remake was finished!

Honestly, I’m pretty darn proud of how it turned out. It’s not exactly like the original, of course, but it’s pretty close! And the best part is, I made it myself, which makes it even more special. I learned a ton, and I’ve been carrying it around everywhere, showing it off. It’s a great conversation starter, for sure!
